Terms of Service

Welcome to Outside. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Outside website, mobile experience, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, continuing as a guest, or otherwise using Outside, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Outside is operated to help people discover and join real-world activities created by other people nearby. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Outside.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Outside. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at outsidefriendsapp@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Guest access is temporary and limited to a single activity. Guests remain bound by these Terms for as long as they use the Service.

You retain ownership of content you post on Outside, including activity descriptions, comments, chat messages, photos, and profile information ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Outside a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the rights to post your User Content and that it does not violate any law or the rights of others.

Outside is built for respectful, real-world connection. You agree to follow our Community Guidelines and to treat other people with courtesy both on the platform and when you meet in person.

You may not use Outside to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against anyone
• Post hate speech, violent content, or explicit sexual content
• Promote or organize illegal, dangerous, or fraudulent activity
• Scam, impersonate, or mislead other users
• Spam, scrape, or interfere with the Service
• Collect personal data about others without consent
• Attempt to bypass safety, reporting, or blocking features

We provide tools to report activities and users, and to block people you do not want to interact with. Reports are reviewed by Outside and are not shared with the reported party as a notification of the report.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access when we believe these Terms or our Community Guidelines have been violated. We may also cooperate with law enforcement when required by law or when we believe there is a serious risk of harm.

Outside facilitates introductions between people. Outside does not organize, host, supervise, or control real-world activities. Activities listed on Outside are created and managed by individual users. Outside is not a party to any meeting, outing, or gathering that results from use of the Service.

You are solely responsible for your own safety and judgment when deciding whether to create, join, or attend an activity. That includes verifying details, choosing safe meeting places, and deciding whether another person is trustworthy.

Real-world activities involve inherent risks, including personal injury, property damage, illness, and interactions with strangers. By using Outside, you voluntarily assume those risks to the fullest extent permitted by law.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUTSIDE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT USER CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUTSIDE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM ANY REAL-WORLD INTERACTION WITH OTHER USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO OUTSIDE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

You may stop using Outside at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for Outside or other users, or for any other reason we reasonably determine is necessary to protect the community.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of Outside after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
